We’re in Tuscany (Italy). It’s so hot ๐. It’s 45 degrees!! we go to pool and we have gotten in when a lifeguard comes up too us and says That we have to where swimming hats. They lend us some In the end. The swimming pool is extremely crowded and peoples butts are in your face constantly ๐คข๐. GOODBYE.
first we want to to the Australia vs Jamaica. We had to score at least 4 goals and win to go through to the round of 16. Sam Kerr scores 4 and gets Australia through to the round of 16 game against Norway. Norway score the first goal and at half time it’s 1-0 to Norway. but dramatically in the 83rd minute Australia score.
EXTRA TIME: Alanna Kennedy gets red carded and Australia are down to 10 ladies! we make through E.T though but sadly lose 4-1 on pens.๐ฉ๐๐ญโน๏ธ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ซ๐ฉ๐ข๐ ๐ก๐คฌ๐คฏ๐ณ๐ฑ๐จ๐ฐ๐ฅ๐๐คญ. we’re now in Italy and I will see you soon.
Hi. we’re in Grenoble and today we’re going to cable carts to look over Grenoble. When we get there I see the Jamaican womens World Cup club bus. My dad says that maybe they’ll be on the cable cart. I don’t think so. we’re in the line for the cable cart and I see a cable cart come down and when it stops out get the Jamaican soccer team!! I go literally mental.
After waking up at 6 am, we had a hearty German buffet breakfast and thoroughly annoyed the locals around us. Well we think they were annoyed. It’s hard to tell.
We decided that because we were still dead on our feet, we would take it easy that day, so we booked tickets for a hop on hop off tour. It was actually great fun. It is so nice to see a city from the top of a double decker bus with the breeze blowing in your face and an elderly lady with a thick German accent and a dry sense of humour commentating on every building we passed.
We got off at the PanoramaPunkt, a tower in the centre of Berlin that offered spectacular a 360ยฐ view of the city. It also offered the fastest elevator in Europe. 24 floors in 20 seconds๐ฒ.
After this we toured around the city some more, seeing the sites and learning about the history and stopped for currywurst (a Berlin specialty which is a disgusting mix of sickly sweet tomato sauce, curry powder and bratwurst) and pretzels.
Because we hadn’t had enough excitement that day, we decided to stop by Legoland (pronounced lee-go-lund). It was actually pretty fun, for a lego themed amusement park. It had the entire city made of lego, racetracks with flips, 4D movies and more. Willow loved it, but sadly we had to go. I was delirious. We walked backed through Tiergarten, a pretty garden where no-one walked on the grass except for us…
It was a lovely relaxing day in a beautiful city. Shame about the currywurst though.
We’re staying in a mansion for 3 nights and on the second day we’re going to the critical game of Australia ๐ฆ๐บ vs Brazil ๐ง๐ท. We’re at the stadium and the game’s about to kick off. The game kicks off. Approximately 27 mins in… Christiane racing down the wing for Brazil. She crosses it in and… OH!! My word, Marta has gone down in the penalty area. Instantly the referee points at the penalty spot.
Marta runs up to take the penalty. She comes in and BANG!! She thumps it into the bottom left!!!! 1-0 to Brazil ๐ง๐ท 1 Australia ๐ฆ๐บ 0๐ญ
Approximately 36 mins in… Marta runs down the wing for Brazil and crosses a perfect ๐ ball โฝ๏ธ to Christiane who thunders in the easy header.๐ญBrazil ๐ง๐ท 2 Australia ๐ฆ๐บ0.

Hi everyone! This is the Kennojus family blog, as we travel around Europe for 4 months.
On the 2nd of June, we arrived at the Tullamarine airport at 9:30 am and went through the usual hustle and bustle of the airport. As we settled down in our seats, we suddenly felt the realness of this trip that we had been planning for 5 years. That mixed with the dread that only comes from the absolute realness of the 30 hours of plane travel ahead.
After 8 hours, we stopped at Singapore airport for a stopover of 6 hours. And let me just say this, if you have to stopover anywhere, Singapore is the place to be. We boarded our plane feeling (sort of) refreshed, after meals of pho, movie theatres, free leg massages and more.

After spending 16 hours on a plane, we started to get a bit hungry and realised that we hadn’t had our two meals each that we had ordered. These, we were told, would come at the same time, 15 minutes before the plane landed. ๐
We landed in Berlin and were so exhuasted we could hardly stand up. But we did. For a long time in a queue. When we finally got to the front, the police officer behind the counter looked at us gravely and asked where we were from. Feeling a little uneasy, we answered “Australia”.
“Ah,” he said,” I’m afraid I have some bad news.” Our hearts dropped. He looked at us in all seriousness and said “We are only letting New Zealanders in.”
We were all absolutely exhausted and ready to collapse. Especially me. When we got to the hotel, I fell on the bed and slowly drifted off to the blissful embrace of sleep…”Whose ready to go sightseeing?!” Mum said brightly. We limped around Berlin for what seemed like centuries, our body clocks completely messed up. I fell asleep in about 5 different public places. When we finally got home, I was actually going to pass out, but I wasn’t allowed to sleep until 6pm. It was a struggle.
But all in all, the plane ride was rather smooth and we handled the jet lag well.
